Short retreats

Zen practice is simple and powerful in its simplicity.

Zazenkai is a day retreat where you can you can focus and reflect using traditional Zen practices of meditation and movement. Mindfulness while working, eating and interacting with others is paramount. A key point of this day is to allow you to regroup and learn how to bring focused mind into your daily life.

A typical day schedule would be similar to this:

9.30 am – arrival and tea/coffee

10 am – 11 am teisho (teaching), zazen

11 am – 11.40 am samu (work period)

11.50 am– 12.40 zazen, kinhin, zazen

12.40 – 1. 10 pm mindful movement

1.15 – 2pm lunch

2- 4.15 pm zazen, sanzen

4.15 – 5 pm tea and departure

 

Sanzen is one-to-one interview with the teacher (optional).

Retreat is suitable for all – beginners to experienced students.
